Jets reportedly to interview DeGuglielmo

Published Jan. 23, 2012 12:00 a.m. ET

The New York Jets are working on completing their revamped coaching staff and have asked for permission from the Dolphins to interview offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo for the team's vacant post in the same position, according to a source.

DeGuglielmo worked for new Jets offensive coordinator Tony Sparano with the Dolphins from 2009-11. The Dolphins just hired Joe Philbin as their new head coach, and he has not decided whom he will retain on his staff.

DeGuglielmo coached with the Giants from 2004-08 as an assistant offensive line and quality control coach.

The Jets are seeking a replacement for Bill Callahan, who left to become the offensive line coach and offensive coordinator with the Cowboys.
