Jerry Jones says Dez Bryant fighting 'creates some excitement'

Bryant’s latest fight took place when the Cowboys and the St. Louis Rams got into a major brawl in a joint practice session this week. This followed a fight from a few weeks back when Bryant got into it with his own teammate, cornerback, Tyler Patmon.
Despite the fact that Bryant could be putting himself at an increased risk to become injured, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says he is not worried about his star wide receiver stirring it up in practice:
“Let’s just look at our experience with Dez, mine with him here for five years, going on six,” Jones told 105.3 The Fan, via the Dallas Morning News. “Look at all of us. We know that when he lights up, it’s like a sparkler lighting up on the other end of the deal. It just sparkles. If it’s anything, it not only creates some excitement, it creates tension. You think he’s absolutely a candle burning at both ends. He’s just going to blow up. And, of course, that’s Dez. It’s that personality right there.”
While we all like sparklers, sometimes the fires they ignite can turn dangerous.
Jones’ sudden faith that Bryant won’t get too carried away conflicts with his strict, special rules he once had the wide receiver abiding by. Apparently now that Bryant has settled with the team for five more years, secure with his new contract in place, Jones is taking a different approach.
Time will tell if it’s the right one or not.
