Jean Francois thinks his Redskins could be Super Bowl bound

The Washington Redskins have seized first place in the NFC East, but veteran defensive lineman Ricky Jean Francois is confident that the team should be setting their eyes on something greater than winning the division.

In a players-only meeting before their Week 12 win, Jean Francois talked to his teammates about his lofty expectations for how the rest of the season will play out.

"I was like, I don't know how many times we've got to hit our heads against the wall to know we have the team to actually win it all," he said on ESPN 980. "All we've just got to do is actually display it and actually believe in it.

"And I said another (thing): If you trust the man next to you, the job is gonna get done. If I can trust Jason Hatcher, I can trust Chris Baker, I can trust (Stephen) Paea, my job is easy because I know those guys gonna get that job done. We have the team to win it all. The only people that got to believe is the people inside this locker room."

The Redskins have started to come into their own on offense now that deep threat DeSean Jackson is back in the mix. On defense, they are generating pressure and finding unexpected contributors in the secondary like Quinton Dunbar. However, if they want to make a run to the Super Bowl, they'll have to get over their road demons -- the Redskins are 0-5 on the road this season.
