Jason Garrett: World's worst at high fives (Video)
Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett whiffs on three straight high five attempts. His Cowboys are playing well, but coach needs to go take a lap.
The Dallas Cowboys had themselves a tough road game against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 4. These NFC rivals are playing on Sunday to prove who is for real and who is not. Dallas took a late lead on San Francisco, but Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett cannot land a high five to save his life.
Garrett whiffed on three straight high five attempts. His Cowboys might improve to 3-1 on the year with a rookie at starting quarterback in Dak Prescott, but Garrett’s hand-eye coordination is embarrassing. He was a former NFL quarterback for Pete’s sake!

There’s this trick to executing high fives at a high efficiency: look at the other person’s elbow and there is sure to be a connection in the form of a loud clap. Garrett clearly needs some practice in this celebration effort.
Maybe he can reach out to Washington Nationals skipper Dusty Baker, who supposedly invented the popular hand gesture when he was a ball player back in the 1970s. Garrett will have to wait a few weeks, as Baker’s National have qualified for the MLB Postseason. Until then, no high fives for you, coach!
Garrett can still find ways to celebrate great plays by the Cowboys without trying to high five anybody. He can snap his fingers. He can pump his fist. He can even let out a high-volume “Woo!” like he is Ric Flair of professional wrestling fame.
The Cowboys might have a playoff caliber team in 2016, but what are we going to do about its head coach who can’t execute a high five? Owner Jerry Jones got hit in the head with a Cowboys helmet on Sunday. What’s going on in Big D? At least the Cowboys are playing winning football.
