Jameis Winston draws comparison to Matt Ryan

While Dirk Koetter has formerly said that Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Mike Glennon reminds him a bit of his old quarterback Matt Ryan, apparently Glennon isn't the only one drawing that comparison. According to Sander Philipse of Bucs Nation, Greg Cosell appeared on The Midday 180 on 104.5 The Zone and gave his thoughts on the similarities between Jameis Winston and Ryan.

"One could argue that stylistically, Matt Ryan and Jameis Winston are somewhat similar," Cosell said. "I remember when Matt Ryan came out. I very much liked Matt Ryan when he came out, but there were some who believed that he was a little slow-twitch, that he was a little bit of a strider. The same things that I believe about Jameis Winston."

Even more interesting? Philipse points out that Cosell actually compared Glennon to Ryan when he was coming out of college.

It's been tough to this point to find a comparison for Winston's game, but the one to Ryan is an interesting one. Maybe Winston's game will be unlike any current NFL quarterback, but only time will really tell.
