Jake Matthews cleared for practice, says he's 'ready to go'

Jake Matthews may have had offseason foot surgery, but we can all rest easy, as the starting left tackle has officially been cleared for practice. According to D. Orlando Ledbetter of AJC.com, Matthews is apparently feeling great as well.

“It feels good,” Matthews told AJC.com. “I’m ready to go. I’m cleared to do anything. When we start tomorrow, I will be out there and playing. I’m excited. It’s been awhile.”

The fact that Matthews has been cleared to "do anything" is obviously big. Regardless, having the lineman get a full training camp of work before the season is great news.

There's good vibes coming from the Falcons as we get closer to the season.
