Jaguars sit 3 starters, Johnson active for Titans

Titans running back Chris Johnson is active against Jacksonville, while the battered Jaguars are sitting three starters against Tennessee.

Jacksonville deactivated right tackle Guy Whimper, defensive end Matt Roth and safety Dwight Lowery. Cameron Bradfield is getting his second career start at right tackle, while Leger Douzable starts for Roth. Akwasi Owusu-Ansah is starting at safety for Lowery. The Jaguars have placed 23 players on injured reserve this season, an NFL high.

The Titans deactivated newly signed fullback Quinn Johnson along with linebacker Gerald McRath (left knee/ankle), center Kevin Matthews, defensive end William Hayes, defensive tackle Zach Clayton and offensive tackle Byron Stingily.

The Jaguars also deactivated Dan LeFevour, running back Deji Karim, cornerback Robert McClain and receiver Cecil Shorts.
