The plan to redshirt quarterback Blake Bortles during his rookie season was scrapped outrageously sooner than expected this year. With that, the 6-foot-5, 230-pound passer from Central Florida has taken his hits. Getting sacked a league-leading 50 times, Bortles certainly shares some blame for absorbing such blows. It's not all on him, though. The Jaguars allowed their 66th sack on Thursday night, setting a franchise record. The offensive line must get better and it should be the team's biggest priority over the next six months. Bortles also could benefit from ironing out his own rookie woes.
