Jaguars could turn attention to offense after Fowler pick

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) After landing defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. with the third pick in the NFL draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars likely will turn their attention to the other side of the ball.

General manager Dave Caldwell had said repeatedly that he wants to use surround quarterback Blake Bortles with more talent. He failed to sign receiver Randall Cobb and running back DeMarco Murray in free agency, so the second round of the draft Friday would be the logical spot to fill some offensive holes.

The Jaguars are looking for a slot receiver as well as a featured back.

Caldwell also would like to add a free safety, a linebacker and some offensive line depth.

But with only two running backs and six receivers coming off the board in the first round, there seems to be talent at those positions.
