Jaguars' Chris Clemons arrives for training camp a day late

Published Jul. 31, 2015 8:18 a.m. ET

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Chris Clemons has reported for training camp.

The team says Clemons arrived at the facility early Friday, one day after failing to report because of ''personal things.'' Clemons had been the only player on the team's 90-man roster who didn't show.

Coach Gus Bradley said Thursday he didn't expect Clemons' absence to be lengthy.

The 33-year-old Clemons is a 12-year veteran with 244 tackles and 66 sacks. He had eight sacks last year, but three of those came in one quarter against Indianapolis. He had one sack and seven tackles in his final five games.

The Jaguars drafted Dante Fowler Jr. to replace Clemons, but Fowler tore a knee ligament in his first practice and is out for the season.
