Hackensack Hospital Update: Odell Beckham may be questionable for Week 7 with hip injury
On Sunday’s game in East Rutherford, New Jersey Odell Beckham stumbled to the ground in the middle of the game after running into Baltimore Ravens corner backs causing be ruled out with a “hip pointer injury,” team doctors say.
A spokesperson for the New York Giants stated that Beckham was “playing through pain” during Sunday’s victory against the Ravens but should not participate in any activity involving the possibility of worsening his hip injury.
Per James Kratch of NJ.com, the Giants hope for a strong and healthy Beckham on the field every week and signs of resilience from a season ago.

Beckham has played after missing an entire week of practice before – he did so last year against the Eagles after battling a hamstring injury – so the Giants could opt for a similar approach with this injury. The team has Monday off, but will be back on the field for light workouts Tuesday before practicing in full on Wednesday and Thursday.
Beckham’s injury comes at a crucial turning point for the Giants who have proven that they could bounce back after suffering three consecutive defeats. Beckham is 5’11 and 198 lbs, appearing taller than he actually is due to his lanky frame, and is agile making him especially vulnerable in plays where Eli Manning throws the ball deep down the field to a secondary that is as confrontational as ever. Per Rotowire.com, Patriots linemen have felt the deadening force suffering concussion-like symptoms, doctors reported.
If Beckham recuperates by next week, the Giants are not promised a wide receiver who can help the team comeback from behind in in the game. The Giants running game has been conspicuous in its absence. Big Blue rushed 17 times for 38 yards, a mere pittance. Although the Giants pass protection looked to be an improvement over Week 5’s with Weston Richburg at center, there are lingering issues with the health of the secondary’s ability to prevent rampant missed tackles ands uncontested plays deep down the field leading to the Ravens gaining approximately 400 yards in passing and rushing.
“I don’t think it’s a must win,” said Beckham. “I think the only must-win games are the games you play in the division. All of them matter but those count more. If anything is a must win, it’s the division games.”
