Green Bay's incredible sack streak was snapped in Week 8

One of the Green Bay Packers' biggest problems in their 29-10 loss to the Denver Broncos was their inability to put pressure on quarterback Peyton Manning. For the first time in a long time, they finished the game without a sack.

The Packers had gone 42 straight games with a sack before last weekend, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky.

Before Sunday, the Packers hadn't been held sack-less since Dec. 2, 2012. Green Bay still found a way to beat the Minnesota Vikings, 23-14, on that day without bringing down quarterback Christian Ponder.

Even though Green Bay's pass-rushers were shut out in Week 8, the Packers are still one of the top teams in the league when it comes to their sack total (23, fourth-most in NFL). Veteran outside linebacker Julius Peppers leads the team with 5.5 sacks on the season; fellow linebacker Clay Matthews is not far behind with 4.5.
