Joe Gibbs and Joe Theismann will reunite to call a wild-card game for NBC during the playoffs.
Theismann was the quarterback when Gibbs coached the Washington Redskins to their first Super Bowl win in 1983. They will serve as analysts with play-by-play announcer Tom Hammond during the Jan. 9 game.
The ``Sunday Night Football'' announcing team of Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth will call the network's second wild-card game that day.
Gibbs was an analyst for NBC's pregame show from 1994-97. The Hall of Famer led the Redskins to three Super Bowl wins in his first stint as their coach.
