The New York Giants appear to be close to locking up Eli Manning.

The Giants and Manning are finalizing a four-year, $84 million extension that could become official Friday, according to NFL Network.

Manning had a bounce-back year in 2014, throwing for 4,410 yards with 30 touchdowns and 14 interceptions a season after throwing a career-high 27 picks.

Manning has been the picture of inconsistency since the Giants traded for the 11-year veteran in the 2004 NFL Draft. He's led the league in interceptions three times but was named Super Bowl MVP in the Giants' past two championships.

This extension could lock up Manning, 34, in New York for the rest of his career.
