Fitzpatrick becomes first Jets QB in 13 years to post this stat line

The New York Jets got a much-needed win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, and they did so with a 38-20 win at home. A large part of the impressive victory came on the shoulders of Ryan Fitzpatrick.

The veteran finished the game with 277 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions, and made a bit of Jets history in the process. He became the first Jets quarterback to post a stat line of four touchdowns and zero interceptions since 2002 when Chad Pennington did it.

After struggling for two games, Fitzpatrick rebounded in a big way in Week 12. It's no coincidence that the Jets win when he plays well, and that was evident on Sunday against the Dolphins. If the Jets hope to make a run at a wild-card spot, they'll need Fitzpatrick to avoid turnovers and get the ball to Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker.
