Father of Broncos' Smith dies after complications from heart surgery
Denver Broncos defensive lineman Antonio Smith found out on Wednesday that his father died overnight, according to a report.
Smith's father, Marty Williams, passed away at the age of 55 after dealing with complications from his recent heart surgery. Williams had been in prison for more than two decades, according to the Denver Post.

"It's rough. I just found out this morning. It was my mom who called and told me. The call came in at about 6:30," Smith told Kiszla.
Smith told Kiszla that he will remain with the team and that he intends to play this Sunday in Super Bowl 50. This will be Smith's first Super Bowl appearance in his 12th season since entering the NFL as a fifth-round pick in 2004.
Smith signed with the Broncos this past offseason after spending the 2014 season with the Oakland Raiders. He served as a rotational defensive lineman -- he only played 376 defensive snaps. However, He added 2.5 sacks and 26 combined sacks, hits and hurries, per Pro Football Focus.
