Fantasy Football Start or Sit Week 10: TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins
Heading into Week 10 Fantasy Football action, tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins is the easiest benching to make all season long.
In the case of fantasy football owners not knowing, tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins hasn’t done much of anything this season. There was some hype when the New York Jets acquired him during the regular season but Jenkins is on a team that doesn’t utilize the tight end position as intended.
So far in 2016 with the Jets, Jenkins has totaled just two receptions for 17 yards and zero interceptions. It looks like the Jets brought Jenkins in solely for depth purposes since he’s been relegated to just blocking schemes.
It’s been a broken record the past few weeks but no mistake about it, Jenkins isn’t worth starting this week against the Los Angeles Rams. He’s not even worth keeping on your fantasy football rosters since he’ll go down as a huge bust this season for the Jets.
It might not be so much of what Jenkins brings to the table but more of the way offensive coordinator Chan Gailey uses his tight ends. As extra blockers to protect the quarterback and help establish the run, it’s a role that’s important but does nothing in regards to production.

At the end of the day, production is everything in fantasy football. At this point of the season, owners will need to ensure every final lineup is the best it can be. Unfortunately for Jenkins, he shouldn’t be trusted with anything close to starting in final rosters.
While the tight end position usually doesn’t garner a plethora of points unless you have Rob Gronkowski or Greg Olsen, owners are advised to hit the waiver wire for a suitable option. Don’t expect to see Jenkins magically turn into a touchdown-producing machine for the Jets against the Rams.
Overall, it’s best fantasy owners completely drop Jenkins from their lineups and forget about starting him in Week 10. It’s just not worth it and isn’t recommended by any stretch of the imagination.
