Week 14 is here and many of you are in your Fantasy Football Playoffs!
For some of you, you are playing in the first round of your fantasy football playoffs. The really lucky players are on first round bye this week. Now the rest of you missed the playoffs and are watching other teams fight it out for the Fantasy Football Championship.
If you are one of the players playing in the first round of your fantasy football playoffs, then you will find this post helpful. If you have these players on your team, you should definitely start them as they will have great games.
Here are my Top 5 players that will have a big Week 14!

Cam Newton
It hasn’t been the best of seasons for Newton and the Panthers, but Cam is always a dangerous threat each and every game. Defenses need to worry about his running ability just as much as his passing ability.
It doesn’t seem like Cam is having too much fun this season and isn’t a fan of losing. He had so much success last season. We aren’t sure what is going on with Newton and the Panthers this year, but I believe Newton can have a big game in Week 14.
The Panthers host the Chargers on Sunday and I know that Cam Newton will have a bounce back game. He will go 25-40 for 275 yards. He will throw two touchdowns and run for another in a close win against a tough Chargers team.

Lamar Miller
Lamar Miller is quietly having a good season for the Houston Texans. You don’t really hear his name because of the Texans defense. Houston is known for its defense and not the offense, even though they do have some talent on offense with Deandre Hopkins. They did sign Brock Osweiler this past offseason, but he hasn’t performed like a top quarterback this season.

Miller will be able to get past the 1000 yard rushing mark in this game. The Colts don’t have the best rush defense so I expect him to have 150 yards on 25 carries with one touchdown.

Brandin Cooks
Since being drafted in the first round of the 2014 Draft, Cooks has been great. He has almost 200 receptions in that span and currently has 18 total touchdowns.
It doesn’t hurt that Cooks has Drew Brees throwing him the ball. Brees has a strong-arm and Cooks has the speed and toughness to make all the tough catches. The Saints always have a high-powered offense so they did well when they drafted Brandin Cooks.
New Orleans travels to Tampa where the Bucs don’t have the best secondary in the league. What that, I think Brees is going to put up big numbers and throw the ball to Cooks a lot on Sunday. I wouldn’t be surprised if Cooks has eight receptions for 100 yards and two touchdowns.

Dwayne Allen
Dwayne Allen had a career day this past Monday night with three touchdown receptions. The Jets defense had a hard time containing the 6’3″ tight end.
While Allen only had four receptions, three of them went for touchdowns which is a career high for him. He hasn’t had the best of seasons so far, but now is the time for Allen to step up his game for Andrew Luck.
If Allen can be another weapon for Andrew Luck to go to, the Colts offense will be unstoppable if they make the playoffs. Allen is a big target which is the opposite of Luck’s wide receivers.
The Colts are at home against the division rival Texans so Allen will need a big game. He should be able to get seven receptions for 115 yards. He won’t have any touchdowns, but Andrew Luck will be able to throw touchdown receptions to his other offensive weapons.

Doug Baldwin
Doug Baldwin has been great for the past few seasons. The Seahawks offense struggled up until they drafted Russell Wilson.
Since drafting Wilson, he and Baldwin have had a wonderful rapport. Baldwin is very fast and Wilson had a big arm. That combination has been deadly for defenses for the past 3 seasons.
It looks like he will have another season with over 1000 yards receiving. His touchdown receptions are down from last season, but that’s because the Seahawks have so many weapons on offense that you have to watch out for.
The way the Packers have been decimated by injuries on defense, the Seahawks will have no problem scoring on that defense. Wilson will get the ball to Baldwin plenty of times in the game and they will be huge gains.
Doug Baldwin will have 12 receptions for 160 yards and two touchdowns against the poor Packer secondary.

Winning your fantasy league:
The key to winning your fantasy league is to be diligent and be prepared for injuries. If you are lucky and your team remains healthy, then you will have a tremendous chance of winning your league.
Consistency with your players is tricky because not every player scores 10-20 points per game. Most teams do whatever they can to stop a top player from doing well each and every game so it can be tough each and every week.
The only players that score between 10-30 points per game are quarterbacks since they are the only ones that distribute the ball around and pass for touchdowns.
Recently, the only player that scored less 10 points as a quarterback was Colin Kaepernick. He got benched after he completed one pass for four yards and was sacked five times. Even his backup, Blaine Gabbert had less than 10 points in fantasy football for Week 13.
