Falcons sign right tackle Ryan Schraeder to 5-year extension

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) The Atlanta Falcons have signed right tackle Ryan Schraeder to a five-year contract extension.

The team announced the move on Monday but did not release any financial deals of the extension.

Schraeder won a starting job in 2014 and has fit well into Atlanta's zone-blocking scheme since coordinator Kyle Shanahan took charge of the offense last year. The Falcons signed the 6-foot-7, 300-pound Schraeder as a college free agent from Valdosta State in 2013.

Atlanta (6-4) hosts Arizona (4-5-1) on Sunday.
