Ex-NFL running back arrested twice in Arizona

Former NFL running back Chuck Levy has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and possessing marijuana. Gilbert police say the 37-year-old Levy was taken into custody on Oct. 14, five days after he was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court. That case involved an October 2008 charge of speeding in a construction zone and driving on a suspended license. Levy was in his second year as an unpaid volunteer football coach for Basha High School in Chandler. Principal Ken James says administrators have decided that Levy should stop coaching at the school. Levy, a former University of Arizona standout, was a second-round draft pick of the Arizona Cardinals in 1994. He played two seasons with the Cardinals and three with San Francisco.
