Ex-Cowboys DE Greg Hardy reportedly indicted on felony count of cocaine possession

Former defensive end Greg Hardy, who last played in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys in 2015, has been indicted on a felony count of cocaine possession, according to court records obtained by USA Today.
The indictment, according to the documents, is related to Hardy’s arrest in September, when police found a “purple plastic baggie containing a white pasty substance” during a search of his vehicle. The estimated weight of the cocaine found in his vehicle was 0.7 grams.
Hardy, who allowed an officer to search his car during the traffic stop, could face at least 180 days or up to two years in jail as well as a $10,000 fine under Texas state law.
Hardy played in 12 games with the Cowboys last season, but Dallas did not re-sign the former Pro Bowl defensive end in the offseason.
