Eddie Lacy could still play vs. Chiefs if practice reps are limited

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy knows what he has in running back Eddie Lacy. Even if the bruising ball-carrier is limited in practice this week by an ankle injury, McCarthy would still feel comfortable playing him against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky.

Lacy is Green Bay's workhorse on offense, so they'd like to have him on the field if at all possible. His status will be closely monitored in practice this week.

Even if Lacy feels good enough to play this week, the Packers are likely deploy backup running back James Starks on plenty of snaps. A rotation between the two backs will help keep Lacy healthy and opposing defenses on their heels.
