Eagles safety Earl Wolf 'can't run' with his knee injury
It doesn't look like the Philadelphia Eagles will be returning safety Earl Wolff into the mix any time soon. After practicing as a full participant last week, Wolff had a major setback before last Sunday's preseason opener and he hasn't practiced since.
According to the Philadelphia Daily Inquirer, when reporters asked about Wolff's knee on Tuesday, Kelly said: "Yeah, he says he can't run with his knee."
Wolff was competing to earn a role in the Eagles' secondary and potentially start at safety, although he had fallen behind Walter Thurmond in that battle. Wolff's career has been marred by injuries, and it looks like his latest knee surgery could linger through the 2015 regular season.
