Eagles' Maxwell: We're about to ball out, Cowboys are 'just in the way'

The Philadelphia Eagles are just 3-4 this season, but cornerback Byron Maxwell believes that a Week 9 game against the 2-5 Dallas Cowboys is exactly what they need to get back on track.

"We just want to win," Maxwell said to reporters, per NJ Advanced Media, following Tuesday's practice. "It's about time we get this rolling and get it going in the right direction. We need a winning streak.

"This is the first one. We have to start here. They're just in the way. We're clicking at the right time. We're about to ball out. They're in the way, so they've gotta get it. That's the way it is."

Maxwell's declaration that the time is clicking at the right time comes at an odd moment in the Eagles' season. The time lost their most recent game before the Week 8 bye, and the passing offense has yet to find a groove -- the Eagles have just nine passing touchdowns all season.

However confident Maxwell and his teammates might be, the Eagles have to prove it on the field first. In their first meeting with the Cowboys, the Eagles lost 20-10 -- Tony Romo left the game in the third quarter and backup Brandon Weeden finished the job.
