Dungy to be keynote speaker for USA Football
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) Former Colts coach Tony Dungy will return to Indianapolis in February as the keynote speaker for USA Football's national conference.
More than 600 youth football coaches as well as high school coaches, athletic directors, commissioners and superintendents are expected to attend the two-day conference Feb. 21 and 22 at the city's convention center. USA Football officials say the conference will provide insight on the latest research, best practices and recommendations for better and safer play.
Dungy was hired by Indianapolis in 2002 and became the first black coach to win a Super Bowl title following the 2006 season. He retired after the 2008 season with 85 regular-season victories, a Colts record. He is second on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' career win list with 55 and now works as an analyst for NBC.
