Drew Brees, Eli Manning make NFL history in shootout
For one special day, the New Orleans Saints and New York Giants decided to play an Arena Football League game.
On Sunday, Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Giants quarterback Eli Manning combined for 13 touchdowns, 70 of 91 completions and 861 passing yards in the second-highest scoring game of all time with 101 combined points.
The Saints came out on top, 52-49, with a last-second field goal as both teams combined for a whopping 1,030 total yards of offense.

Heading into Sunday, Brees had eight touchdowns on the season through six games.
Brees has a five-touchdown game in three consecutive seasons and four of the last five. It’s also his second game with six touchdowns. In the opener of the 2009 season, he matched that total against the Detroit Lions.
