Don't worry Bills fans, Wade Phillips still loves you

Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips is looking for his first Super Bowl ring on Sunday when his No. 1-ranked defense takes on Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. Throughout his career, Phillips bounced from team to team, switching from head coach to defensive coordinator several times.

One of his stops along the way was in Buffalo as the Bills head coach. During his three years there, he was 29-19 and led the Bills to the playoffs twice. He was then surprisingly fired by the team after they hired new general manager, Tom Donahoe.

Since then, the Bills have yet to reach the postseason once and have had just two winning seasons in the past 15 years. Despite his shocking exit, Phillips still has love for Bills fans.

"I still love the Buffalo fans," Phillips said. "They were great to me and I really enjoyed being there. I still have great friends there, and always wish the people in Buffalo well."

Phillips, who's been a coach in the NFL since 1976, has had a great deal of success this season in Denver. His defense was the best in the league in 2015 and is the reason the Broncos are playing on Sunday for a ring.

Many people, including fans in Buffalo, area pulling for Phillips to win his first Super Bowl after nearly 40 years of coaching.
