Don't count out DeAndre Levy for the 2015 season just yet

Linebacker DeAndre Levy underwent hip surgery earlier this month, but the Detroit Lions have not put him on injured reserve yet. Could there be a chance he returns before the 2015 season is finished?

Levy is already up and walking, according to Kyle Meinke of MLive.com. Apparently, running and tackling could still be a possibility for this year.

"Not at this point," Lions head coach Jim Caldwell said when asked if he's ready to rule out Levy for the remainder of the season, per MLive.com.

Levy signed a $33 million contract extension during training camp and suffered the hip injury shortly thereafter. He tried to return in Week 5 against the Cardinals, but he was back in the locker room by halftime.

After he led the team with 151 tackles in 2014, the Lions are holding out hope that Levy will return to full strength before the end of the season.
