Donald Trump jabs Jets owner after Gang Green misses playoffs
The New York Jets, unable to come away with a playoff-clinching win against the Buffalo Bills, broke the hearts of their fans on Sunday. It's simple to say "all they had to do was win," but victories aren't easy to come by in the NFL -- especially against division rivals.
However, the ever-controversial presidential candidate, Donald Trump, offered a simple way the Jets could have made the playoffs -- sort of.
Woody Johnson, owner of the NYJets, is @JebBush’s finance chairman. If Woody would’ve been w/me, he would’ve been in the playoffs, at least!

Trump's tweet was a jab at owner Woody Johnson, of course. But it was also a swipe at fellow Republican candidate and "rival" Jeb Bush. Trump doesn't squander opportunities to stir the pot, so to speak, with this being the latest example.
This isn't the first time he's poked his head into the world of sports, either -- particularly with the Jets. Back in 2012, he applauded Johnson's "patriotism" for caring more about Mitt Romney winning the election than his team's wins.
Woody Johnson's comments that he would rather have @MittRomney win the election than his @nyjets win games shows real patriotism.

Of course, he's also constantly saying how great of friends he is with Tom Brady, the two exchanging glowing compliments in the past year. Expect the unexpected when it comes to Trump, especially when he takes to Twitter.
