Dolphins RB Arian Foster exits game with groin injury

Published Nov. 15, 2016 2:14 p.m. ET

The Miami Dolphins knew the risk they were taking by signing the oft-injured Arian Foster this offseason, and it didn’t take long for him to miss some time.

Foster left Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots with a groin injury and has been ruled out for the rest of the day.

Foster came into the game with a questionable tag due to a bad hamstring, but he still got the start. After he exited, Jay Ajayi took over as the lead back, with little success though.

The Dolphins as a team have 34 yards rushing against the Patriots – nine of which came from Foster on three attempts.
