Dolphins HC Joe Philbin doesn't deny Suh kicked Morris' helmet
Ndamukong Suh found himself amid some controversy in his first game with the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. It appeared that Suh kicked off Washington Redskins running back Alfred Morris' helmet while he was on the ground, but the league didn't hand out a punishment for the All-Pro as it was not deemed a kick.
Head coach Joe Philbin weighed in on the situation Monday, but he didn't exactly come to the defense of his stud defensive tackle.
"The league looked at it and they made their ruling," Philbin said via ESPN. "I watched the play. Ndamukong has been doing a great job since he's been here. He's been working extremely hard and he's a great teammate. I expect him to continue to do that and continue to play well."
Even after watching the play, Philbin didn't definitively say that Suh didn't kick Morris' helmet. This could be Philbin trying to avoid getting himself into some hot water, but typically a coach would come to his players' defense.
Does that mean Philbin thinks Suh is guilty? No, but it doesn't exactly seem like Philbin believes Suh is completely innocent.
