Detroit Lions RB Joique Bell expects to rush for 1,200 yards in 2015

Detroit Lions running back Joique Bell has set a lofty goal of 1,200 rushing yards for the 2015 season, according to Kyle Meinke of Mlive.com. This, after sitting out all spring as he recovers from knee and Achilles' injuries.

"I'm going to rush for over 1,200 yards," Bell told MLive.com. "That's the minimum. If I do less than that, I'll be surprised. I'll be disappointed.

"Anything more than that, I wouldn't be surprised at all."

Bell has steadily improved since landing in Detroit, but he has yet to eclipse 1,000 rushing yards in a single season. He came closest last year, when he recorded 860 yards on 223 attempts while starting only six games.

With Reggie Bush now on the San Francisco 49ers, Bell can take over as the full-time starter in Detroit's backfield. In order to do that, though, he'll need to fend off second-round rookie Ameer Abdullah.
