DeMarco Murray booed by Eagles fans during Saturday's game
DeMarco Murray’s role within the Philadelphia Eagles offense has shrunk to almost nothing this year, and Eagles fans are not happy about it.
Since Week 11, Murray has seen his opportunities dip dramatically.
Leading up to that game against the Miami Dolphins, he’d just come off of five games in a row in which he’d carried the ball at least 18 times.
Since then, he has gotten 13, 14, eight, 11 and two carries in the five games before Saturday night’s display, rushing for just 155 yards (3.32 yards per carry) and no touchdowns.
Murray's touchdown against the Redskins on Saturday was his first since Week 10, and he has looked increasingly lost playing in Chip Kelly’s system.
For a guy who was paid $21 million guaranteed on a five-year deal worth up to $40 million, the Eagles and their fans haven’t gotten their money’s worth.
Needless to say, it’s not surprising he was booed Saturday night.
