Darrelle Revis (concussion) plans to play Sunday: 'I'll be ready to go'
Cornerback Darrelle Revis was back on the practice field for the New York Jets on Thursday, the first time since suffering a concussion on Nov. 22 against the Houston Texans.
While it's certainly a good sign, it doesn't mean he's a sure bet to play on Sunday. However, his comments after practice are particularly promising.
"I'll be ready to go Sunday," Revis told reporters.
Revis has missed the last two games and remains in concussion protocol. In order for him to be cleared to play this week, he'll need to pass the remaining tests, but he's confident he'll be able to do so.
The Jets' defense has struggled without Revis. His backup Marcus Williams is also injured and missed Week 13 with a knee sprain. Revis would be a welcomed addition to the team this week if he's able to pass the remaining tests.
