Da'Quan Bowers on return: 'I'm just glad to be back helping this team'
Da'Quan Bowers has had quite the road during his time in the NFL, but now that road has led back to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers it seems. As Bowers has re-signed with the Buccaneers, due to multiple defensive injuries, he sounds like a man who's just ready to get another chance, and hopefully take advantage of it.
Via Roy Cummings of The Tampa Tribune:
“I’m just glad to be back helping this team because they’re doing a lot of great things and I knew they would this year,’’ Bowers said. “I’m glad to be able to help them out the rest of the way.’’
When speaking about his time away from football, after being released in the team's final roster cut down to 53 players, he called it "excruciating."
“Those were the most excruciating 14 or 15 weeks in my life,’’ Bowers said of his time away from the NFL this season. “I’ve never missed football so much in my life.’’
Here's to hoping Bowers can get the ball rolling on his career, and make an impact for the Buccaneers right out of the gate in Week 15.
