Colts QB Hasselbeck: 'The opportunity was right there'
In the wake of the Indianapolis Colts' 16-10 loss to the Houston Texans, the Colts found themselves lamenting the position they've put themselves in with just two weeks remaining in the regular season.
The Colts, who have lost three straight, now must hope the Texans stumble over the final two weeks if they hope to make to postseason once again.
Indianapolis jumped out to a 10-0 lead before Houston scored 16 unanswered points to emerge with the victory. Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, starting in place of the injured Andrew Luck finished the afternoon 17-of-30 for 147 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

“Had many chances. Had many opportunities. Couldn’t take advantage of them,” Hasselbeck said. "This opportunity was right there. Right there. All we had to was seize it and we didn’t.”
After setting an NFL record with 16 straight win against AFC South opponents, the Colts have now lost two straight games within the division and find their playoff hopes in serious jeopardy.
We didn’t finish,” safety Mike Adams said. “We let them hang around and that’s what you can’t do. When you get turnovers and start fast like that, you have to do things to put them out and we didn’t do that at all today.”
Indianpolis travels to Miami to face the 5-9 Dolphins next Sunday.
