The Indianapolis Colts have put outside linebacker Aaron Morgan on the reserve-retired list.

A shoulder injury forced the 26-year-old to miss all of last season. The team did not say why Morgan was retiring in its release Monday.

Morgan was originally signed to a futures contract on Dec. 31, 2013, after spending three seasons in Jacksonville and Tampa Bay. In 18 career games, he had eight career tackles -- two on special teams.

Jacksonville brought in Morgan as an undrafted rookie in 2010. Four days after the Jaguars waived him in October 2012, Tampa Bay signed him to its practice squad. The Buccaneers promoted Morgan to the active roster on Nov. 1, 2012 and waived him in the final cutdown of 2013.
