Cardinals CB Clemons joins teammate Demens on season-ending IR

The Arizona Cardinals paid a hefty price for their impressive 42-17 victory over the Detroit Lions last weekend.
Coach Bruce Arians said on his radio show Tuesday night that safety Chris Clemons will be placed on season-ending injured reserve due to a hamstring injury sustained in Sunday's contest.Â

Clemons was the second player to see his season come to an end against the Lions, joining backup linebacker Kenny Demens, who suffered a torn ACL and was placed on IR earlier Tuesday. Demens and Clemons are among two of Arizona's best special teams players.
In addition, outside linebacker Alex Okafor strained a calf muscle in Sunday's contest. Arians said the injury was not as bad as initially feared and expects Okafor to miss 2-for-4 weeks. Okafor had a team-high eight sacks last season.
