Buffalo Bills' Owner Terry Pegula on Tom Brady: "He's like McDonald's"

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 2:51 p.m. ET

Buffalo Bills’ owner Terry Pegula spoke to NFL.com’s Mike Silver on Saturday and compared Tom Brady to McDonald’s.

“He’s like McDonald’s. Every time I go there, I always get the same thing — because it works, and why would you get some different,” said Buffalo Bills‘ owner Terry Pegula said on Tom Brady.

Being a Buffalo Bills‘ fan, it’s hard to ever complement him. Obviously, he’s one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, but saying it just makes me cringe — and I’m sure the rest of you can agree with me. If I were to compliment Brady, though, I think comparing him to McDonald’s is the perfect route.

It gives you the perfect chance to praise his talents, but also the chance at comparing him to a fast food joint that cheats their customers with bad food and spotty customer service. I mean, that sounds like the perfect compliment to me.

Terry Pegula would continue to explain his comments on Tom Brady:

“That’s Brady. He’s gonna come out and run the same, simple offense, and slide in the pocket and get rid of the ball quickly and throw it underneath to all those different receivers, and unless you can do something to stop him, he’ll carve you to pieces.”

Tom Brady sat out the first four games of the season after the NFL suspended him for his role in Deflategate. The Buffalo Bills would play the New England Patriots in Week 4 and Week 8. Of course, they would only meet with Tom Brady for their Week 8 matchup.

And what a difference Tom Brady made.

In Week 4, the Buffalo Bills not only defeated the Patriots, but also never let them score — not once. The final score ended 16-0 and the Bills became the first team to shut out the Patriots at Gillette Field. When Week 8 came along, though, Buffalo struggled to calm Tom Brady.

He would scorch the Bills for 315 yards on 22-33 passing, throwing 4 touchdowns in the process. The Patriots would win 41-25 after a lousy performance by the defense and ineffective play from the offense.

Tom Brady performed exactly how Pegula said he always does: slides in the pocket, kills you underneath, perfect throws over top.

Gronk would finish with 109 yards and one touchdown, Hogan finished with 91 yards and one touchdown, while Edelman and Amendola each combined for 66 yards and a touchdown (each).

It was a disastrous loss that put the team on a 2-game losing streak. They sat at 4-4 on the season, while the Patriots improved to 7-1.

As much as I hate seeing Tom Brady win, it’s hard to not give him credit where it’s due. He’s a phenomenal player and if he didn’t play for the Patriots then I would actually enjoy watching him play.

With that being said, let’s go Atlanta Falcons!

We still hope you lose, Brady.
