Bucs promote WR Adam Humphries from practice squad

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have promoted wide receiver Adam Humphries from the practice squad to the active roster.

The move Wednesday came a day after No. 3 receiver Louis Murphy was placed on injured reserve with a torn ligament in his right knee. Murphy was hurt during last Sunday's 31-30 loss at Washington.

The Bucs also signed wide receiver Andre Davis, offensive lineman Ryan Groy, defensive tackle Derrick Lott and linebacker Julian Stanford to the practice squad.
