Bruce Arians on Mike Iupati for Week 3: 'We'll take it day-to-day'
The Cardinals could get a big boost to their offensive line in Week 3.
Mike Iupati, who suffered a knee injury in training camp that required arthroscopic knee surgery, is "day-to-day," according to head coach Bruce Arians.
The expected timetable recovery was set at six to eight weeks, with Week 3 being the six-week mark. Iupati returned to practice last week, but did not play in Week 2.
Thus far, the Cardinals offensive line has performed well - allowed zero sacks - in the absence of Iupati and the suspended Bobby Massie.
The ground game has also flourished, with the Cardinals averaging 117.5 rushing yards per contest (13th in the league).
If Iupati returns in the next week or two, expect his presence to only further aid in protecting Carson Palmer and helping the run game.
