Bruce Arians is thriving in the Arizona desert as he looks to build on the 10-6 record the Cardinals achieved in his first season as the team's head coach.
However, a piece of news affected him deeply on Friday night, when he heard that Colts running back Vick Ballard suffered a torn Achilles tendon and will miss the entire 2014 season.

Just because coaches frequently change jobs, that doesn't mean they leave the relationships they forge at each stop in the rearview mirror. Arians cares deeply about his players and this shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.
Ballard is staying upbeat in the wake of his injury. In fact, it seems he's determined to recover and get back on the field.
Best of luck, Vick!
