Browns expecting plenty of trash talk from Terrance West
The Browns unloaded running back Terrance West less than two weeks ago, but they expect to hear his voice plenty this Sunday when he visits Cleveland as a member of the Tennessee Titans.
West is now the No. 2 running back behind Bishop Sankey after getting traded for a conditional seventh-round pick. He rushed for 41 yards on 13 carries in his Titans debut last Sunday.
Cleveland decided to cut the cord on its 2014 third-round pick mostly due to concerns about his attitude and work ethic. While West said he won't be looking for revenge in his first visit back to the Dawg Pound, the Browns players know that West won't be too quiet.
"Terrance always plays with an attitude so I guarantee he is not leaving that behind," Browns coach Mike Pettine said via Cleveland.com. "He did some good things in their opener. Our guys know Terrance well. I'm sure they will be exchanging pleasantries before the game and throughout."
Running back Isaiah Crowell, who assumed the starter's role in the wake of West's departure, told Cleveland.com that he's happy if West is happy.
"I don't think he was bitter," Crowell. "I feel like he was happy about it."
Linebacker Armonty Bryant is planning to make sure that West's trash talk isn't one-sided.
"It's going to be fun," Bryant said. "Terrance likes to talk and you've got to mess with Terrance and get in his head a little bit."
