Broncos' Ward skips OTA session to watch the Warriors

T.J. Ward was willing to risk a few days in Gary Kubiak's doghouse to watch his favorite hoops team in the NBA Finals.

Per reports, the Broncos safety skipped one OTA session to watch the Golden State Warriors top the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game Five on Sunday.

"No, he wasn't here," head coach Gary Kubak told reporters with a smile. "It's voluntary, like I said."

OTAs are indeed voluntary, so Ward was free to leave. Kubiak can't force him to attend or even suggest he was upset with the choice.

But maybe rooting for Steph Curry is not the best way for Ward to curry favor with a new coaching staff.
