Broncos' Vasquez: Chris Clark can help me lead this offensive line

Louis Vasquez is thankful he's not the Broncos' only returning lineman in 2015.

He's got tackle Chris Clark on his line now, a consolation prize in the wake of Ryan Clady's season-ending knee injury, but a prize nonetheless.

"We’ve still got a good leader in Chris Clark, who’s obviously been in the league a number of years and he’s got a tremendous amount of snaps under his belt,” Vasquez told the team's official website. “I’ll pull him alongside with me and have him help me tow the group where we need to go.”

Clark has played the role of Clady's understudy before. When the Broncos' Pro Bowl left tackle had to sit with a Lisfranc injury in 2013, Clark stepped in. Denver kept marching toward a Super Bowl.

Vasquez is optimistic Denver can do a similar patch job this season. At the very least, he'll play with another Bronco who has started some games and knows Peyton Manning well.
