Broncos' top rookie Ray says he's '100 percent' for training camp

Shane Ray stayed put to rehab his toe when his Broncos teammates left for a pre-camp break.

That strategy paid off. Now fully healthy, Ray is a complete practice participant at Dove Valley.

"I'm 100 percent ... all drills, 100 percent," the first-round linebacker told ESPN.

Ray's lingering toe injury might've contributed to his draft day slide. He held out of Scouting Combine workouts and was limited at his own pro day.

Twenty-two other teams passed on the Missouri product before Denver took him. Now fully healthy, Ray wants to show they made a wise investment.

"I'm very excited," he said. "I think that there are a lot of questions that people have on what I can do and what I was brought here to do. This is an opportunity for me to show everybody what I'm capable of."
