Broncos TE Daniels forecasts perfect (weather) conditions for win
Owen Daniels is not taking the Baltimore Ravens lightly, but he is predicting a sunny outlook for his first game with the Denver Broncos.
The Broncos tight end made his season debut with another Denver team on Friday night, delivering the first of his weekly Gameday forecasts for a Denver television station.
Daniels, a nine-year veteran who was brought in to replace tight end Julius Thomas, is not out of his element in his new profession. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in meteorology.
Citing temperatures that will approach 90 degrees at kickoff, Daniels told the audience that conditions are perfect for a "beautiful victory drive home." Daniels also noted how the hot conditions and mile-high altitude will adversely affect the Ravens, for whom he played last season.
"Big guys on defense, so it's going to be tough for them to breathe up here as it is and those warmer temps are going to help us out even more," Daniels said in closing out the segment.
