Broncos ILB Marshall running on injured foot, planning his return

Brandon Marshall started his rehabilitation by taking baby steps back from foot surgery.

These days, he's stepping out onto the Broncos practice field to run. It's the first time the Broncos inside linebacker has been out of the trainer's room all spring.

"I'm excited to do it," Marshall told the team's official website. "I just can't wait to be back on the field."

Neither can Wade Phillips. Denver's new defensive coordinator can't wait any longer to add his starting inside linebacker to his impressive 3-4 scheme.

Phillips and the Broncos might not have to wait long. Marshall believes he'll "absolutely" be ready in time for the start of training camp on July 31.
