Broncos hoping and expecting Roethlisberger, Brown to play

Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Antonio Brown may have carved up the Denver secondary when they met last month, but at least a few Broncos players say they would like a rematch. 

While reports emerged Monday that Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is much more likely to play than Brown, Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib isn't ruling either player out, per the team's official site. In fact, Talib wants both Roethlisberger and Brown to be on the field this Sunday.

Brown, who suffered a concussion on a vicious hit from Vontaze Burfict in the closing seconds of Saturday's wild win over Cincinnati, racked up 16 catches for 189 yards and two touchdowns in Pittsburgh's Week 15 win over Denver. Roethlisberger completed 40 of 55 passes for 380 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions in the 34-27 victory. The Steelers quarterback called himself "day-to-day" after an MRI reportedly revealed a sprained AC joint in his throwing shoulder. 

Broncos safety Darian Stewart, who spent 2014 with the Baltimore Ravens, is familiar with Roethlisberger's toughness.

Kind words indeed from both Talib and Stewart, but as the old saying goes -- "be careful what you wish for." 

Judging from his tweet game on Monday, Brown will be just fine. Check out how he mocked Bengals cornerback Adam Jones for saying that he deserved a Grammy award for pretending to be hurt after the big hit Saturday night.
