Broncos hire Kubiak's eldest son as offensive assistant

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) The Denver Broncos have hired Klint Kubiak as an offensive assistant who will work with the team's quarterbacks.

The eldest son of head coach Gary Kubiak replaces Brian Callahan, who joined the Detroit Lions as their quarterbacks coach.

Klint Kubiak has five years of coaching experience following his four-year playing career at Colorado State, where he was a team captain and played in the East-West Shrine Game. He took part in rookie camp with the Washington Redskins in 2010 as a safety.

Klint Kubiak spent 2015 as wide receivers coach at the University of Kansas after serving as a quality control/assistant wide receivers coach for the Minnesota Vikings from 2013-14. He also spent two seasons on the coaching staff at Texas A&M.
